City Utility Equipment Co. was founded in 1993 with the intent of selling specialized utility equipment and services in the Greater Chicago metropolitan area. We are a small equipment distributor that specializes in the sale, leasing, rental, and service of used aerial trucks, grappler loaders, truck mounted platform lifts, dump trucks, digger derricks, truck mounted air compressors, and Graffiti Removal Equipment & Products.

We are one of the largest domestic dealers for Altec Industries, who is the largest manufacturer in the world of truck mounted aerial equipment. Some of the other manufacturers we represent are CAT Prentice loaders, SouthCo Truck Bodies, Aerolift Platforms, Delphi Platforms, Dump Trucks, Grand Northern Products, Palfinger Hook Lifts, Boss Air Compressors, and the World’s Best Graffiti Removal System. Our offices are located in downtown Chicago, and Plainfield, IL, with 10 acres of storage and 7,000 sq ft of shop, which enables us to service our customer base at their convenience. The advantage we have over our competitors is that we specialize in the sale, training, and service of our utility equipment. Our direction and product lines are focused to meet each of our individual customer needs.
